A pre-manufactured metal building system was utilized to create a small manufacturing facility (and adjoining warehouse space) for a producer of organic solvents used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. The simple gable roof volume housing the main production area is enhanced by the use of large window openings and shading devices, extended roof overhangs, and the bold addition of color. An adjacent conventionally framed office volume, clad in complementary metal siding system provides a more sculptural counterpoint to the warehouse, with abundant natural light and suspended metal-framed sunshades and awnings to add visual counterpoints.
